Meet the Founder

Jolto Founder, Jade Peterson, is a licensed educator, who has most recently taught middle school science and high school algebra. Her inspiration for Jolt came from starting each of her classes with a TikTok video of the day. These could be videos that related to the curriculum or were supplementary, such as science news stories or STEM career highlights. These clips helped her students make connections outside of the classroom, but it was often difficult as a teacher to find videos that were engaging and school-appropriate. 

Jade is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education, and was recently awarded the Young Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year from The University of Iowa.

Jade is excited to be sparking student curiosity and saving teachers time with Jolto.
